The Knowlton Film Festival had launched a short film contest, open to all film genres and all ages. Any films shot in other languages must be subtitled in either French or English. At least one main artist (director, writer, cinematographer or actor) must reside in the Eastern Townships. Eligible films must be shot in part in the Town of Brome Lake and be set in the region. The Brome Lake Film Bureau is available to help with production details.
The Short Film Contest registration is now closed, with a total of 18 entries.
Participants: all finished films must be received before June 17, 2019
1st Prize: Town of Brome Lake Award: 2000$
2nd Prize: MRCBM: 1000$
3rd Prize: Desjardins: 500$
The winners will be announced on Opening Night, Aug. 22, at 7 p.m.
John Griffin, former film critic at the Gazette in Montreal, and other members of the festival’s Board will select a jury, to be announced later this summer.
